Dhootha gave me the courage to try new genres in the OTT space, says Naga Chaitanya

Dhootha marks the OTT debut of Naga Chaitanya and he has impressed one and all with his performance in the Vikram Kumar-directed web series. The suspense thriller has been declared a hit and has clocked millions of minutes on Hotstar already. 

Naga Chaitanya is on top of the world and says that the success comes as a huge respite in his career, which was seeing a low as his last few films were flops. Speaking in an interview, Naga Chaitanya says he was quite curious to know how the audience would react to his role with grey shades but the love he has received for his performance has given him a sense of satisfaction.

Adding further, he said, "Vikram Kumar always comes up with something special or the other for me, be it Manam or now Dhootha. He knows my strengths and what I am capable of as an actor and has penned a solid role for me in Dhootha".

Naga Chaitanya plays a media baron who takes the wrong way to make money and ends up with dire consequences in the series. Dhootha also has Pachai Desai, Parvathy Thoruvothu, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in key roles.

Lastly, Naga Chaitanya says Dhootha is being loved by everyone and this gives him a lot of encouragement to try new genres in the OTT space in the days to come. On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya has just started shooting for his new film, which will be directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The Akkineni hero will be seen as a fisherman in this film.
