Dharma Kirthiraj on Bigg Boss Kannada 11 journey: After Navagraha, this will be a second innings for my career

Dharma Kirthiraj has always been open about the fact that despite being in the film industry for close to a decade and a half, he’s not got the break he deserved. This is also why he went on the Kannada reality show Bigg Boss Kannada Season 11, where he spent 55 days. Back home, Dharma, who has got a film called Tenant in theatres currently, which sees him in a negative shade, says that that Bigg Boss Kannada will be a second innings in his career.

Speaking to TV9, Dharma, said that in the years since Navagraha, he had a lot of low phases and yet, there were always producers willing to invest on him. “They trusted that I would do justice to their films and cast me in their projects, sometimes repeatedly, which kept me afloat. I am very grateful to these directors and producers who stood by me during those times. For instance, the producer of Chanaksha is making two other films with me; so also, the maker of Cadbury, who then cast me in The Virus and has paid me an advance for a third project,” he said.

Dharma Kirthiraj says that he is yet to get a big break in his career 

Bigg Boss Kannada 11, he reckons, is like a booster dose. “So far, I was better known as actor Kirthiraj’s son, and maybe a film or two, like Navagraha. Now, I think I will also be known as Bigg Boss huduga Dharma. That platform served as a second innings for me, aftwr Navagraha. I have some 6 movies up for release, some of which are ready, others that are in production, as well as 2 that will kickstart shortly. The Bigg Boss Kannada journey has given me a refreshed dose of energy – this is a new starting point for me; I do not want to look back at what was before,” says the actor.

Dharma’s friendship with Anusha Rai in the Bigg Boss Kannada house had been quite the talk of town, but are they also working together in these films. “Yes, I am working with her on two films, but only 1 has her as my heroine,” he clarifies.
