With just a week to go for release, the team of Dhanush's Thiruchitrambalam has released a new promo from the film. In the promo, Dhanush's character Thiruchitrambalam is seen trying to impress Priya Bhavani Shankar's character. Veteran actor-director Bharathiraja, who plays Dhanush's grandfather in the film, is seen giving a piece of advice to his grandson on how to open his heart to her. Thiruchitrambalam, directed by Mithran R Jawahar, has Dhanush along with three leading ladies, Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Raashi Khanna.

The team had release yet another promo in which Priya Bhavani Shankar is seen answering questions about Thiruchitrambalam. Out of the ten questions, the actress gets six right. Some of the questions include Thiruchitramabalam's favourite spot, his nickname, his job, his favourite musician, food, best friend's name, name of the bike, his grandfather's name and his ringtone and his hangour spot. The production house released the promo with the caption, "How well you know Mr.Pazham? 10/10 ft. @priya_bshankar #Thiruchitrambalam releasing on 18th August. @dhanushkraja @anirudhofficial #Bharathiraja @prakashraaj @mithranrjawahar @menennithya @raashiikhanna_ (sic)."

Thiruchitrambalam is said to be a musical family drama and the star cast includes Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Munishkanth and Aranthangi Nisha. Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander and the album comprises four songs- Thaai Kelavi, Megham Karukaatha, Life of Pazham and Themozhi. Cinematography is by Om Prakash and editing is by Prasanna GK. The film is bankrolled by Sun Pictures, which has also bagged the satellite rights and digital streaming rights of the film. Thiruchitrambalam will have a worldwide release on August 18.

Interestingly, Dhanush and Mithran Jawahar had earlier worked together in films like Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty and Uthamaputhiran. Thiruchitrambalam also marks the return of the hit combination of Dhanush and Anirudh Ravichander. Their last collaboration was Thanga Magan in 2015.
