The teaser of Dhanush's much-awaited film, Captain Miller, dropped on social media on the occasion of the actor's birthday (July 28). The teaser, which shows Dhanush in an action-packed fiery avatar, has now become one of the most watched teasers in recent times in Tamil cinema. The film's production house Sathyajyothi Productions today shared the news on social media that the teaser has fetched more than 23.1 million views in a span of 24 hours.
Going by the teaser, the film seems to be an out and out war film where Dhanush is on a killing spree. The actor is seen at the forefront of a raging war and is seen going out there all guns blazing, literally. It looks the film will mark one of the violent characters that Dhanush has played so far. One of the posters featured Dhanush as the last man seen standing at a battlefield. The film is said to have some high-octane action sequences of Dhanush's men taking over the British.
The teaser also gave a sneak peek into the rest of the star cast. Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar is seen in a majestic look in the battlefield who stylishly arrives riding his horse. While Priyanka Mohan holding a gun, Sundeep Kishan and John Kokken are seen in a killer look as well.
Captain Miller is set in the pre-independence era and is billed as one of the most expensive films made on Dhanush. The film is also all set to be a pan-India release and is likely to hit screens in multiple languages.
The film's producer TG Thyagarajan had stated in a summit that since Dhanush was well accepted in all the languages, including Hollywood films, Captain Miller will further expand his canvas. This is the maiden collaboration between Dhanush and director Arun Matheswaran, who is known for his films Rocky and Saani Kaayidham.
