Mari Selvaraj's much-awaited film Maamannan is releasing in theatres tomorrow. The movie evoked a good response after its trailer was launched and songs composed by AR Rahman garnered appreciation from several quarters. The film also courted controversy after the director's speech at the audio launch didn't go down well with a few people.

The posters have been creating curiousity among cinephiles from the beginning and they are eager to know what Mari is coming up with this time around. The unanimous response his first two movies earned is the major reason behind Maamannan's huge expectations.

The presence of Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi, Fahadh and Keerthy are considered to be prime attractions of the film which has been bankrolled by Red Giant Movies. Netflix and Kalaignar TV have acquired digital and satellite rights of the project respectively. Amid movie buffs waiting for Maamannan, Dhanush has now come up with a tweet heaping praise on the film.

He described the film as an "emotion" and said that Vadivelu and Udhay have delivered a very convincing performance. "Great work from Fahadh and Keerthy," he added and revealed that theatres are gonna erupt for the interval block. Rahman's music, he said, is beautiful.

This unexpected review from the Captain Miller star has come as a huge surprise and boost to the team of Maamannan. Dhanush was the hero in Mari's previous outing Karnan and the duo shares an adorable bond. There were theories doing the rounds on social media recently about the similarities Karnan shares with Maamannan.

The film's story revolves around a father and a son who set out to take revenge against a caste fanatic after the former's self-respect is questioned.
