Dhanush has been in the headlines for a few days now after Nayanthara penned an open letter, accusing him of not granting NOC to use the footage of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan movie for her documentary film Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. However, both were seen attending a wedding ceremony recently, but ignored each other for reasons known.
Now, new stills from the wedding have surfaced, showing Dhanush greeting Sivakarthikeyan and his family, putting an end to the speculated feud between the two.
For long, there had been a speculated feud between Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan, saying that the actors do not get along well with each other. It is to be noted that Sivakarthikeyan made an entry into Tamil cinema by playing a supporting character in Dhanush’s 3, and also starred in Ethir Neechal, which is backed by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Pictures. However, even as the actors had shared the screen space and worked together, somewhere in between the feud began and the actors were not seen together.
However, at a recent wedding function of producer Aakash Baskharan (producer of Dhanush’s Idly Kadai), Dhanush was seen greeting Sivakarthikeyan and his wife Aarti. The trio were seen sharing a light moment and the all-smiles photograph has been circulating on the internet, prompting a friendly rapport between the duo.
At the same event, Nayanthara was also spotted along with her family. Even though she sat only a few seats away from Dhanush, the Yaaradi Nee Mohini co-stars did not speak with each, and were seen looking away from each other.
For those uninitiated, Nayanthara had requested Dhanush to grant permission to use footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, which was bankrolled by Wunderbar Films. However, Dhanush had refused and sought Rs 10 crore as compensation. Since then social media has been divided, with people taking sides of their favourite actors.
