Dhanush in talks to star in Russo Brothers’ Avengers: Doomsday? Here is what we know

Actor Dhanush, who broke the barriers and starred in the Hollywood film The Gray Man, is expected to work once again in a Hollywood film. As per reports, the buzz is that the Tamil actor is in talks with the Russo Brothers to play an important character in the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday. 

Dhanush in Avengers: Doomsday?

Actor Dhanush, who has wowed Indian audience with his versatile roles, is reportedly in talks to play an important role in the upcoming Hollywood film Avengers: Doomsday directed by the Russo Brothers. However, neither of the parties have confirmed the casting so far.

While if the news is indeed true, it will mark Dhanush's second Hollywood film and collaboration with the Russo Brothers who worked with him in The Gray Man, it will be interesting to see Dhanush share the screen space with Robert Downey Jr. The actor, who famously played the Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will be donning the villain cape and essay the role of Dr Doom. Dhanush played a pivotal role in The Gray Man, which got much positive reception among the audience. The film is available for streaming on Netflix.

Dhanush’s body of work

Dhanush was recently seen in Tamil film Raayan which is currently running in theatres. The film is directed by Dhanush himself, who starred in the lead role as well. The film opened to mixed reviews and also stars Dushara Vijayan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, and others.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is also working on his third directorial film Nilavaku Enmel Ennadi Kobam with a young cast, and is also set to headline the upcoming Telugu-Tamil film Kubera. The film is directed by Sekhar Kammula and stars Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Jim Sarbh in pivotal roles. Dhanush is also working on a biopic on Ilaiyaraaja with director Arun Matheswaran. A release date for these films are yet to be announced.
