Kollywood star Dhanush has begun shooting for his upcoming Netflix film The Gray Man in Burbank, California. Directed by the Russo brothers, the film also stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana De Armas and Jessica Hapwick.
Dhanush is currently shooting his portions with Gosling and Evans. The action-thriller has Gosling playing an ex-CIA operative, who is on the run, while his former cohort is sent to hunt him down. This marks Evan’s fifth collaboration with the Russo brothers, who are best known for directing Marvel films including Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Dhanush was last seen in the Tamil film Karnan, which is set to release on OTT soon. The Tamil star is also awaiting the release of his film Jagame Thandhiram. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film stars Malayalam actress Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead and has James Cosmo, Joju George and Kalaiyarasan in pivotal roles.
The actor has also wrapped up his Hindi film Atrangi Re. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the movie will see him opposite Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. The film has opted for a theatrical release on August 6, as announced by the makers.
This is the third Hindi film and second English film for Dhanush. The actor, who had starred in Raanjhanaa and Shamitabh in Bollywood, was seen playing the lead role in the Hollywood movie The Extraordinary Journey of Fakir. Helmed by Ken Scott, the film saw him in the role of Ajatashatru Oghash Rathod opposite Erin Moriarty, who played Marie Riviere in the film.
