M.G. Srinivas and Shiva Rajkumar's maiden collaboration Ghost has drawn favourable attention over the past few months and there's more than one reason why. For starters, one gets to Shivanna in a never-before-seen savvy avatar in a film billed as a heist thriller. He is joined by many talented names as part of the cast including veteran actors Jayaram and Anupam Kher and highly talented Hindi actor Prashanth Narayanan, with KGF 2 actress Archana Jois, too, playing a key role.
To top that, Ghost promises to use some of the best modern technical innovations in cinema including the revolutionary de-ageing process. MG Srinivas has also teased the idea of making Ghost a franchise which interacts and coalesces with his other 'Birbal' series of films to render something like a 'Srini Cinematic Universe'. So, for this and all the many other reasons, fans and film buffs are eagerly looking forward to the mega experience that Ghost promises to be.
And while they wait for the film to hit the big screens, Srini & Co. are bringing them a special treat in the form of a video glimpse. This promo has been titled 'Big Daddy' and is meant to introduce the alluring character that Shivanna plays in the film. And quite fittingly, the team has planned to release it on July 12 to mark the Century Star's 61st birthday.
If the latest buzz is to be believed, the makers of Ghost have brought superstars Jr NTR and Dhanush to launch the Telugu and Tamil promos, respectively. Many would already know that the team has already planned a grand event on July 12 at Bengaluru's Santosh Theatre for the screening of the teaser. Fans, too, are welcome to this occasion specially planned to celebrate Shiva Rajkumar's birthday.
In his most recent conversation with OTTplay, MG Srinivas divulged that the team is taking painstaking efforts to ensure the VFX in the film is rendered at high standards. As many as 1800 VFX shots are part of Ghost and the team is working with a company in Tehran for the task.
