Dhaakad actress Kangana Ranaut, who is known to make controversial remarks often, today made an embarrasing gaffe after she called the CEO of Qatar Airways, 'Idiot of a Man', that too based on a spoof video.
It all started after many Muslim nations, including Qatar, expressed their outrage over the comments of BJP cadres Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal against Prophet Mohammad which led to them being expelled from the party.
A Twitter user by the name Vashudev, then posted a video calling for the boycott of Qatar Airways as a response to the outrage. He used the hashtag 'BycottQatarAirways' and the wrong spelling of 'boycott', began trending on social media, which eventually led to a spoof video of Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker. In the doctored video, Baker is heard saying that Vashudev is their biggest shareholder with a total investment of 634 rupees and 50 paise and that they don't know how to operate anymore and have grounded all the flights. The spoof video went viral on social media in no time.
However, Kangana Ranaut, who mistook it for an original video, shared a post on her Instagram page today, in which she called the Qatar Airways CEO, Idiot of a man and said that he had no shame bullying a poor man mocking his insignificance and place in the world. She wrote, "Vasudev may be poor and insignificant for a rich man like you but he has the right to express his grief, pain and disappointment in whatever context it may be... remember there is a world beyond this world where we all are equal..." She also called those Indians cheering for the bully, a burden on the earth! The actress got massively trolled for mistaking the spoof for an original video and later deleted the post!
