Devotion on OTT: Here's where you can watch the Glen Powell and Jonathan Majors starrer in India

Glen Powell is technically the talk of the town for a lot of reasons. Be it his stint in Top Gun: Maverick, which promises a future for him in the franchise, Anyone But You where people could not stop themselves from thirsting over his charm, or everything that is happening around Twisters that is in the news as we speak. It turns out we are soon going to have another reason to obsess over the star, and that is going to be given to us by Lionsgate Play, who are all set to give us a movie starring him alongside Jonathan Majors aka the former Kang The Conqueror. The film called Devotion is the one we are talking about.

For the uninitiated, Glen Powell was not just an actor but also decided to wear the hat of the executive producer for the film Devotion in 2022. The actor had read about naval fighter pilots Tom Hudner and Jesse Brown in Adam Makos’ 2017 book Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice. Turns out the film is now set to make it to streaming in India, and it is Lionsgate Play who are set to bring it. Read on to know everything you should about the same.

Lionsgate Play has been investing in re-releasing many celebrated movies from the recent past. Recently, the streamer updated their coming-up list after releasing Replicas, The Iron Claw, and many other movies last month. The streamer has now put Devotion on their upcoming movies list. There is no confirmation on the release date of the movie.

About Devotion

Devotion is a war drama based on the Korean War. The movie follows US pilots as they enter the war and show an act of bravery that makes them heroes. The movie stars Glen Powell, alongside Jonathan Majors, Joe Jonas, and Christina Jackson, and is directed by JD Dillard. The film will be available on Lionsgate Play soon and will also be available with the OTTplay Premium subscription.

Glen Powell, once in conversation with Variety, spoke about his meeting with Jonathan Majors for the film that happened in a sauna. “Obviously, Jonathan Majors is going to be on the Mount Rushmore of great actors of our generation. I had just seen The Last Black Man in San Francisco, and I was like, ‘This is the guy. We have to get him.’ He read and liked the script, and I flew to New York to meet him. I remember getting a nervous call from the producers saying, ‘Hey, Jonathan wants to meet you at a Russian bathhouse. Is that okay?’ I was like, ‘Sure. I will sell him on this movie in a Russian bath.’ It’s funny to meet someone where you’re basically naked and pitching them. But we were there for hours and we came out great friends.”
