After Bimbisara, the hit pair Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Samyuktha Menon are joining hands for another ambitious project - Devil, produced and directed by Abhishek Nama under Abhishek Pictures. Presented by Devansh Nama, the big-budget thriller, set in the pre-Independence era, is gearing up for a release on December 29. Ahead of its theatrical release, the team unveiled the trailer today.

The trailer commences with a British officer asking over a call to connect him to ‘Agent Devil’ in relation to the murder of Vijaya. The protagonist begins his enquiry and tries to decode the many motives behind the crime, including a link to a secret service. There are several mysteries waiting to be unlocked while there’s a heavy dose of action besides a fair share of romance, thrills and conspiracies.

The team succeeds in not giving away the plot but just preparing audiences for the vibe and the flavour of the film. A lot of effort has gone into recreating the colonial era on the screen - the detailing with the cinematography and the production design are a delight to watch, in particular. While the title suggests that the protagonist is a British agent, a dialogue indicates how he wouldn’t compromise with his self respect.

Satya, Srikanth Iyengar, Ester Noronha, Malvika Nair, Shafi, Ajay and veteran actress Seetha are also part of the film. Devil’s trailer creates the right amount of curiosity, with only two weeks left for the film’s release. Srikanth Vissa has written the story, screenplay and dialogues for Devil while Harshavardhan Rameshwar scores the music. Gandhi Nadikudikar is the production designer.

With veteran technician Soundar Rajan S cranking the camera, the film is edited by Tammiraju. Prasanth Baradi has also assisted the team with the story development. Venkat, Ramakrishna have choreographed the action sequences and Vijay Rathinam is the sound designer. Maaye Chesi, a song from the film, has already garnered 10 million views in the last couple of months.
