Devi Sri Prasad last gave the 2024 blockbuster film Pushpa 2/ Puspa: The Rise, starring Allu Arjun in the lead role. The songs, including Kissik, and Sooseki became instant chartbusters and have been ruling over the social media.

The ending of Pushpa 2 gave away that a third part is in the making titled Pushpa: The Rampage. As Devi Sri Prasad converses with OTTplay, we ask him about what to expect from the threequel starring Allu Arjun and directed by Sukumar.

‘Pushpa 3 will be one step above than Pushpa 2’

Devi Sri Prasad will be once again reuniting with actor Allu Arjun and director Sukumar for the third part in the Pushpa franchise. Titled Pushpa: The Rampage, we ask Devi Sri Prasad who joins in an exclusive conversation with OTTplay, about how the third part will be.

“All we can say is Pushpa 3 will be a rampage. It will be definitely more than what you heard in Pushpa 1 and 2. Sukumar sir is ruling the world with his rise and rule of Pushpa 2. We are yet to start the works for Pushpa 3, but given how much the sequel resonated with audience, Pushpa 3 will be one step above than what you saw.”

Pushpa 2 OTT release

The post-theatrical streaming rights of Pushpa 2 are with Netflix. While an official release date of the film is yet to be announced, it is expected that Pushpa 2 will premiere towards the end of January.

The action drama stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, and others in prominent roles. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the team released an extended version of the film on January 14.

Pushpa 2 gained momentum soon after its release, due to a mishap and stampede that was caused on the day of the film’s premiere, resulting in the death of a woman. Subsequently, Allu Arjun was arrested and released on bail.
