Devara: Saif Ali Khan reveals he felt like a 'newcomer' while working in Jr NTR starrer; 'Going down there was a very...'

Devara: Part 1 is one of the most-awaited movies of 2024. The trailer for the film starring Telugu superstar Jr NTR, was unveiled on Tuesday (September 10) in Mumbai. At the event, Saif Ali Khan who will be seen playing the role of Bhaira, shared his working experience in the film and said that he felt like a "newcomer".

At the trailer launch of Devara: Part 1, Saif Ali Khan was asked to share his working experience in the film. He said, "Going down there was a very exciting experience. It was very kind of Tarak, NTR ji, Siva ji to want me in the movie because movies made in the South recently have been mind-blowing, and to get a chance to act in a film like this, I felt like a newcomer."

He further added that he is also excited because he has spoken the language which was new for him and loved what he has done in the film.

The film is geared up to deliver a high-octane, emotional narrative, with Jr NTR taking center stage in dual roles as both father and son.

Jr NTR, who plays the titular character Devara, faces off against Saif’s villainous role. The trailer shows intense confrontations, action-packed sequences, and a complex storyline that spans two generations.

Both Jr NTR and Saif add layers of depth to their respective characters. On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor, in her much-anticipated Telugu debut, plays the romantic interest of Devara's son, also played by Jr NTR. The chemistry between the two adds a romantic subplot to the film. 

In a statement, the filmmaker Koratala Siva said, “You’ve had all the magic and madness on land and sea, this will be the first. When you see what they call like the blood sea and you’ll see all the action on the water. There are like scenes which you could get in your wild imaginations but those can never get fructified but Siva sir had this imagination and executed to absolute precision.”

Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara: Part 1 will be released in cinemas on September 27, 2024. It has been bankrolled by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, with a presentation by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.
