Devara, the mass action film that stars Jr NTR in the titular role, is gearing up to hit the big screens on September 27, 2024. The project marks the Telugu superstar’s reunion with director Koratala Siva. As you may, Jr NTR is coming back to the big screens with a solo film after a long gap of 6 years (his last outing, RRR, was a two-hero film). In the recently held Devara trailer launch event, the talented actor extensively spoke about the underwater sequences in the film and confirmed that the Koratala Siva directorial is high on action.

According to Jr NTR, director Koratala Siva screened a few action sequences from the film to the Bollywood distribution team including Karan Johar and others. Interestingly, the leading man revealed that he was so shocked to see their reactions to a couple of action sequences in Devara. The Telugu superstar recalled that it was the moment when he realized that this film was going to work very well. Jr NTR further added that he won’t call it an action film, but it is a drama that is extremely high on action.

Interestingly, the actor stated that he hated shooting for the 'Shark' scene in the film, as it took a lot more time than expected. Jr NTR revealed that he shot for the scene in a five-and-a-half feet tall tank. The team took almost a whole day to get that particular scene right, which made the experience tiring.

In his chat with the media, Jr NTR also recalled acting in some physically demanding action scenes along with lead antagonist Saif Ali Khan in the film. The leading man heaped praises on the action choreography team of Devara, including Peter Hein, Anal Arasu, and RRR fame Solomon. Interestingly, Tarak revealed that Solomon extensively worked on the underwater action sequences in the film, which have come out very well. The actor revealed that the shot underwater for over 38 days, and over water for 60 days, just for the action scenes.

Jr NTR, who is confident about Devara, confirmed that the Koratala Siva directorial brings phenomenal action set pieces that Telugu cinema has never seen before. He further added that the kind of CGI that is done in those action sequences is equally fantastic as well. The Telugu superstar’s revelations about the film and its action have clearly left the film fanatics highly excited.
