Despicable Me 4 trailer – Gru and the Minions welcome a new member of the family as well as fresh villains

Despicable Me universe is growing and evolving beyond expectation, having already broken Shrek’s record with Despicable Me 3. The Shrek franchise held the record as the highest-grossing animated film franchise of all time, which Despicable Me 3 broke in 2017, by grossing over $1 billion worldwide. 

Release Date and Trailer of Despicable Me 4

Now, Illumination is back with the trailer of Despicable Me 4, which is set to release theatrically on July 3, 2024. The trailer reminds you of the Minion-sized hole in your life, which it satisfies momentarily with its vivid colors, joyous moments, and adventurous heists with children and Minions, of course. Unlike the twin premise of Gru (both voiced by Steve Carrell) in Despicable 3, the trailer for Despicable 4 offers momentous happy news and new threats.  

Gru, Lucy, and his girls now also have a baby in the family, Gru Junior. Gru Jr.’s entry serves an iconic addition for several reasons, not limited to the irony of him being more of a mamma’s boy. Correction, Gru Jr. only frowns at his adoring daddy, while he runs around, trying to save the family and the world from a new villainous duo.

New villainous threats and additions to the cast

Will Ferrel and Sofia Vergara join in the fun as Maxime Le Mal and his femme fatale partner Valentina. The villainous duo is out for Gru and his family as well as world domination. While Gru and his ladies are told to go in hiding, they do so during the day, while heisting with a baby, to save the world and help the former in the process.
