The shoot for the second film in the franchise has been wrapped and the first-look poster was released yesterday

There's good news for Demonte Colony fans. The latest we hear is that the horror franchise is all set to get two more films. The film's director R Ajay Gnanamuthu had recently revealed that certain portions for the third film in the franchise and few points that connect the third and fourth film have been shot. He added that the second film from the franchise, Demonte Colony 2, will have elements of prequel and sequel.
In the meantime, the motion poster of the second part was released yesterday by the team. The power-packed pulse- pounding motion poster shows a graveyard and a star symbol and Arulnithi as a ghost. It looks like the second part is made on a huge scale. Taking to his social media handle, the film's lead actor Arulnithi wrote, "Welcome to the Darkness! Presenting the first look of #DemonteColony2 a Pulse-pounding horror thriller on the way to cinemas soon. #VengeanceOfTheUnholy #DarknessWillRule #2023WillBeDark (sic)."
The star cast for the second film comprises Priya Bhavani Shankar (marking her second collaboration with Arulnithi after Kalathil Sandhippom), Antti Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arunpandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid and Archana Ravichandran. Music for Demonte Colony 2 is by Sam CS. While the cinematography is by Harish Kannan, editing is by Kumaresh D.The film is bankrolled by Bobby Balachandran, Vijayasubramanian and RC Rajkumar.

If the second part in the franchise is a hit at the box office, the third and fourth parts are likely to come up soon. Demonte Colony 2 which will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
While Arulnithi was last seen in Kazhuverthi Moorkkan, a rustic rural drama helmed by Pandiraj, Ajay Gnanamuthu's last film was Chiyaan Vikram's spy thriller Cobra. The second film from the Demonte Colony franchise is coming after a long hiatus of 8 years. The first film from the horror series hit screens in 2015 and opened to fantastic reviews.
