The trailer of Demonte Colony 2, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Arulnithi in the lead role, was released by the makers on social media on Wednesday. The film is all set to hit theatres on August 15, the team announced earlier in the day.
On Wednesday, the makers of Demonte Colony 2 released the trailer of the film. The horror thriller film is scheduled to hit theatres on August 15, Independence Day.
The trailer begins with a voiceover that says a cursed necklace, no matter where it is, will go back to the haunted place it comes from. We see glimpses of satanic effects, and how each of the characters is terrified of the curse. The trailer is loaded with visual effects that amplify the horror in the film.
The upcoming film is a horror thriller helmed by filmmaker Ajay Gnanamuthu. A sequel to the 2015 film Demonte Colony, the upcoming film will retain Arulnithi in the lead role, with Ajay Gnanamuthu back to the director’s chair. It is to be noted that the film franchise derives its title from a neighbourhood in Chennai which is said to be haunted.
The first instalment revolves around a group of friends who enter a haunted bungalow and bring back a cursed necklace which creates ruckus in their lives. It is available on SunNXT and OTTplay Premium.
Demonte Colony 2 cast includes actors Arulnithi, Priya Bhavanishankar, Antti Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arunpandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid, Archana Ravichandran and others.
The film is bankrolled by Bobby Balachandran, Vijayasubramanian, and RC Rajkumar. The technical crew consists of Harish Kannan cranking the camera and Kumaresh as the editor. Sam CS has scored the music for the film.
The film will compete with Vikram’s Thangalaan, Keerthy Suresh-starrer Raghu Thatha, and Prashanth’s Andhagan. All these films are releasing on August 15.
