Demonte Colony II: Vengeance of the Unholy, the upcoming horror thriller sequel to the 2015 film Demonte Colony, is all set to hit theatres on August 15 for Independence Day. Ahead of its release, the makers had held a premiere show for selected audience, who shared their reviews of the film.

Early reviews of Demonte Colony II arrive

Demonte Colony II: Vengeance of the Unholy is Tamil film sequel to hit 2015 film Demonte Colony. The film stars Arulnithi in the lead role and Ajay Gnanamuthu has reprised his role as director of the film as well. In a premiere show held on Tuesday, it has earned some great reviews.

Demonte Colony is written and directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu. The cast includes actors Arulnithi, Priya Bhavanishankar, Antti Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arunpandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid, Archana Ravichandran and others.

The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been bagged by ZEE5. The film, once completing its theatrical run, will be available on the streaming platform as well as OTTplay Premium. You can also stream the first part on SunNXT app. It revolves around four friends who venture into a haunted bungalow, and retrieve a cursed necklace, only to find themselves being haunted by its. The film’s title is derived from a neighbourhood in Chennai that is allegedly said to be haunted.

Demonte Colony 2 is produced by Bobby Balachandran, Vijayasubramanian, and RC Rajkumar. The technical crew consists of Harish Kannan cranking the camera and Kumaresh as the editor. Sam CS has scored the music for the film.

Ajay Gnanamuthu has revealed that Demonte Colony will be developed into a franchise, with many instalments being planned for making. However, further details on the rest of the films are yet to be announced.
