The shooting for Demonte Colony 2, the horror thriller, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu has been completed. Demonte Colony 2 stars Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead, with Arunpandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Archana Ravichandran as supporting characters.
The film crew released an exclusive photo featuring Arulnithi to mark the announcement. The shooting has been completed as planned in 61 days with portions canned in Hosur, Chennai and Andhra Pradesh border.
While Sam CS has scored the music, Harish Kannan has handled the cinematography and D Ravi Pandy has handled the editing works. Kumaresh is in charge of the art direction. This horror thriller is jointly produced by Ajay Gnanamuthu and Vijay Subramanian under the banner of White Lights Entertainment and Gnanamuthu Pattarai.
The first part of Demonte Colony was released in 2015. Being a different kind of horror thriller, it was an instant hit with the fans. After seven years, the second part of the film is ready. The team has now moved on to the post-production stage and it looks like the release date will be out soon.
Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that the debut poster of the film Demonte Colony 2 was released in QR code mode which grabbed many eyeballs. It is expected that the updates of the film will be released in a different way soon.
Director Ajay Gnanamuthu has announced Demonte Colony will now be a franchise. The film, Demonte Colony 2, is said to be the second one in the horror thriller series. While the original was directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, the second film is directed by Venky Venugopal, an assistant of Gnanamuthu, who was the co-director of his previous flick, Cobra.
Ajay Gnanamuthu had released a statement in which he stated that there will be more films in the series. Ajay's last release, Cobra, starring Chiyaan Vikram, was a dampener at the box office and opened to negative reviews.
