Review:

Episode 11, which is the final episode of Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc, commences with Tanjiro and Nezuko fighting the bad guy (here, Gyokko).

The finale episode brings Kyojuro as well as Tengen Uzui back. Tokito, who is from this season, makes a cameo too.

The episode is back with Nezuko, Genya and Tanjiro at the centre. The scene keeps you gripped, even if it takes time to develop. The music, as always, brings the scenes together.

Tanjiro introduces a new technique thanks to someone we know very well. Gyokko is just as much a surprise this time around. It keeps you interested in every scene since.

The VFX is at par even this time. The music with that is slightly weird and more Indian but the scene works wonders and is a great treat for Demon Slayer fans.

There’s a moment between Tanjiro and Nezuko too. This makes for an important end to the series. With that, in a sense, the series comes a full circle.

Gyokko’s story is explored this time. The show takes an interesting turn mid-way.

Mitsuri Kanroji is shown almost like Nezuko –more of an object than a human with brains. Muzan’s story is explored for the first time too and it finally makes sense.

Once again, Tanjiro is the focus of the series. There are many characters who contributed to even his success but the credit is given to this one character till the very end. The scene does nothing to make you want to come back to the series.

Verdict:

The finale episode commences in a very special way. The show gives you everything to stay intrigued to it, till the very end. However, it is the climax that does nothing to add to everything up to that point. All characters are once again neglected to make Tanjiro look like a hero, even when he’s not as heroic without them all.
