Deepika Padukone Turns Down The White Lotus Season 3
For the uninitiated, The White Lotus is a popular show that streams on Prime Video in India and was created by Mike White. The show explores themes of capitalism and the disparity between the haves and the have-nots, taking cues from the "Eat the Rich" genre. After two successful seasons, the show was renewed for a third season, and reports suggested that Deepika Padukone was being cast in it. In January, during the promotions for Fighter, the actor was asked about it but did not reveal anything.
It turns out she has now turned down the part and is no longer associated with The White Lotus Season 3. According to a News18 report, Deepika has rejected the third season of Mike White’s show and is planning to focus on her child, dedicating her entire time to the little bundle of happiness that is about to enter her life very soon. There is no official confirmation yet, but the report quotes a source close to the development.
“Deepika loves children. She bonds with them instinctively. You can be sure there will be no nannies or nanas to look after her child when it is born… I don’t think Deepika would ever let Ranveer share in parental chores. She will be a 100% hands-on mother," a source said, according to the portal.
They added, “That is so savage. I don’t think Deepika knows about it. Ever since she got pregnant, Ranveer has been protecting her from all toxicity on social media. Deepika is entirely focused on embracing motherhood. She has not signed any new films. She said no to a very prestigious international series. I don’t think she will be back to work anytime soon.”

Deepika Padukone is expected to welcome the baby in September this year, which is why she is not signing any new projects. However, the actor already has a lot on her plate. She has the second part of Kalki 2898 AD in her kitty. There is also The Intern remake alongside Amitabh Bachchan. Rumors also suggest she will be part of Brahmastra Part 2. Reportedly, she also has a Karan Johar movie, which the filmmaker has put on hold, wanting Padukone to do it once she resumes work.
