Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are set to embrace parenthood for the first time. The couple was clicked taking blessings from Ganapati yesterday as they visited the Siddhivinayak temple on September 6 ahead of welcoming their first baby. Today, September 7, the actress has been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai ahead of delivery.

On September 6, a video on Instagram shows the power couple visiting the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai. The mom-to-be stunned in a green benarasi saree flaunting her baby bump while her husband Ranveer opted for a white traditional outfit. The father-to-be was seen taking care of his wife as they visited the temple.

On February 29, the couple shared a picture that showed cute baby shoes, balloons, hearts, baby clothes, etc to announce their pregnancy. They captioned the picture "馃檹馃徑馃Э馃檹馃徑"
As soon as Ranveer and Deepika announced their pregnancy, fans showered with congratulatory messages. Their friends from the film industry also congratulated the couple in the comments section.
Deepika's Chapaak co-star Vikrant Massey commented, "OMGGGGGGG!!!! Bahut bahut shubhkamnaen aap dono ko!!!" while Kriti Sanon wrote, "Omg!!!! Congratulations you two!!!"
Rakul Preet Singh also commented on their post. She wrote, "Omgggg congratulations sooooo happppy".

Speaking about their love story, the couple tied the knot on November 14, 2018, at Italy's Lake Como. The couple dated for six years before getting married. They fell in love on the sets of Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's romantic film.
Meanwhile, the parents-to-be will be seen together in Singham Again directed by Rohit Shetty. The film will hit theaters in Diwali 2024.
