DeAR theatrical release date - GV Prakash Kumar and Aishwarya Rajesh's film to hit the big screens on this day

The wait is over! G V Prakash Kumar and Aishwarya Rajesh's family drama DeAr is gearing up for its theatrical release! The makers of the film took to their social media handles to announce that the film will be releasing on April 11. The makers also dropped a character poster along with the new announcement, introducing GV Prakash Kumar as Arjun and Aishwarya Rajesh as Deepika. Hence, it is evident that the film’s title is derived from the first two letters of the names of both characters. 

DeAr is a family drama

Helmed by Anand Ravichandran of Sethum Aayiram Pon fame, the upcoming comedy drama is set to revolve around an incompatible married couple. According to the director, the story’s theme was inspired by a real-life event that had happened in his family. He revealed that the movie deals with a certain conflict that has occurred in the family and the film tells how this family deals with it. “It is a married couple’s story and starts off with the wedding and sheds light on what it takes to have a long-lasting marriage,” the director revealed.

DeAr plot

Earlier the makers had unveiled its motion poster which hinted at a conflict between the two lead characters who will be seen as a couple. Aishwarya's Deepika seems to be suffering from a snoring problem, giving sleepless nights to Arjun. How the duo deals with the issue forms the rest of the story. 

The plot of the film sounds similar to the film Good Night (2023), starring Manikandan.    

The trailer of DeAr is yet to be released. Due to the film's similarity with Manikandan's Good Night, fans are eagerly waiting to know more about the plot of the film - will it be another Good Night knock-off or will the makers narrate a fresh story?

DeAr cast and crew

Apart from the lead cast, DeAr also stars Thalaivasal Vijay, Rohini, Kaali Venkat, Nandini Ilavarasu, and Geeta Kailasam in pivotal roles.  

GV Prakash has also scored the music for the film. The camera has been cranked by DOP Jagadeesh Sundaramurthy, while Rukesh has handled editing.
