There's good news for Ajay Devgn and his fans. As per an official statement, it has been confirmed that his film De De Pyaar De 2 will be released in theatres on May 1, 2025. The shooting of the film will commence in June. The comedy-drama is being directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg. Furthermore, Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan have written the storyline of the entertainer.

According to a report published by Pinkvilla, the shooting for De De Pyaar De 2 will begin in June 2024 after Ajay Devgn wraps up the shoot for Singham Again and Raid 2. The movie aims to recreate the same blend of romance, humour, and music as its prequel. Devgn, eager to return to the comedy genre after a break, is excited to dive back into the alluring world of De De Pyaar De, said the report.
What was De De Pyaar De about?
De De Pyaar De was a commercial success in the year 2019, earning over Rs 150 crore at the box office globally. Taking inspiration from the film’s success, the makers of the project decided to create the film into a franchise by coming out with a sequel soon.

The film’s storyline follows a character named Ashish (Devgn), a middle-aged NRI soon-to-be divorcé, who plans to marry Ayesha (Singh), a much younger woman. Trouble arises when Ayesha encounters Ashish's family, including his would-be ex-wife Manju (Tabu) and their children, Ishika and Ishaan.
