The fourth instalment in the horror comedy film franchise Dhilluku Dhuddu, titled DD Next Level, is all set for a summer release. The makers on Wednesday announced that the film will hit big screens on May 16, with Santhanam returning as the lead actor.

Actor-comedian Santhanam, who was last seen in Madha Gaja Raja, the first commercial success for Tamil cinema this year, will be appearing as the lead actor in the upcoming DD Next Level, the fourth instalment of the Tamil horror comedy franchise Dhilluku Dhuddu.
With the shooting wrapped up, the makers have announced that the film will have a summer release on May 16 in theatres. Produced by Niharika Entertainment and The Show People on a lavish scale, actor Arya is presenting the film. Prem Anand, who helmed DD Returns, will be back in the director's chair for DD Next Level.
The cast of DD Next Level is led by Santhanam, and also features Gautham Menon, Selvaraghavan, Yashika Anand, Rajendran, and others. DD Next Level will cater to audiences of all age groups, from children to adults. The film’s plot takes place on a cruise ship and an island. Dipak Kumar Padhy handled the cinematography of DD Next Level, and Ofro composed the music. Bharath is in charge of editing, and AR Mohan is the art director.

All parts of Dhilluku Dhuddu are available on OTTplay Premium. Dhilluku Dhuddu, the first part released in 2016, is helmed by Rambala. Available on SunNXT, the film is about a couple whose love is not accepted by the girl’s father, However, things go awry after he gets invited to a haunted house. Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 is available on ZEE5, with Santhanam and the director once again coming together. The film is a spiritual sequel. DD Returns was released in 2023 and is a standalone sequel, which is available on ZEE5.
