#DBoss trending amid rumours of a Darshan and Duniya Soori collaboration

On record Kannada cinema’s Challenging Star Darshan is committed to #D56 with director Tharun Sudhir, as soon as he finishes his current project, Kranti, directed by music man V Harikrishna. He is also slated to do a film with Chennai-based film production banner Abhishek Films, which was announced on his birthday this year. But there is no stopping his fans from speculating about what else he could be up to soon, especially since images of Darshan with a certain hit filmmaker have been doing the rounds. According to the latest buzz in the Twitterverse, Darshan will do a film with Tagaru hitmaker Duniya Soori.

In an earlier interview, Soori, who is currently busy with his film with Abishek Ambareesh, which is a relaunch of sorts for the star son, had said that script work on a film called Kadana Virama was on and that he was in talks with a ‘big’ star to headline it. Fans firmly believe that the big star in question is none other than Darshan, given that the actor has been spotted on the set of Abishek’s Bad Manners, directed by Soori.

More than a decade ago, Soori had announced a film with the Challenging Star, which was to be made under the late Koti Ramu’s home banner. At the time, Soori had said that he would collaborate yet again with cinematographer Satya Hegde and music man V Harikrishna on this film. This project, however, did not see the light of day, and Soori instead went on to make a slew of films with Shiva Rajkumar and the late Puneeth Rajkumar, among others.

Kadana Virama, according to sources in Gandhinagar circles, will be produced by KVN Productions, which is currently working on Nikhil Kumar’s next, Yaduveera and Dhruva Sarja’s sixth, the as-yet-untitled film with director-actor Prem. The sources also suggest that Soori could take up Kadana Virama immediately after Bad Manners or after Kaage Bangara, depending on Darshan’s availability.
