Daveed gets a release window: Antony Varghese Pepe's action-packed movie to hit theatres in February 2025

Antony Varghese Pepe looks to kickstart 2025 with a power-packed performance in Daveed. After giving sneak peeks with character posters, the makers have finally announced the release window of the action-packed film. Daveed is set to hit theatres in February 2025, the makers revealed on social media.

A while ago, the makers of Daveed announced that the Antony Varghese-starrer is set to take over the big screen in February 2025. However, an exact release date was not mentioned.

While sharing a poster of the film along with the announcement, the makers urged viewers to gear up for ‘cinematic storm that will leave you on the edge of your seat’. “Theatres are gearing up to welcome the electrifying 'Daveed' experience—mark your calendars and prepare for the action, drama, and thrill like never before,” a part of the post read.

Govind Vishnu, who directed Daveed, also co-wrote the film with Deepu Rajeevan.

Antony Varghese, who had earlier starred in action films such as Kondal and RDX, once again dons the action avatar for Daveed as Abu. Apart from the leading man, Daveed al so features Lijomol Jose, Vijayaraghavan, and Saiju Kurup in lead roles. The makers had also earlier released the character poster of the lead actors while promising that Lijomol Jose as Sherin will be seen in a role like never before. Vijayaraghavan will essay the role of Aashaan, while Jess Kukku will be seen as little Safa.

The film went on floors in June this year and the pack-up was announced in October, after a 71-day shoot.

As Unni Mukundan’s Marco is ruling the box office with its brutal action and violence, it would be interesting to note what Daveed, also billed as an action film, would offer to Malayali audiences.

Antony Varghese’s Kondal

Meanwhile, Antony Varghese was last seen in Kondal, which was released in theatres in September 2023, along with other Onam releases. The film, which also stars Raj B. Shetty in a key role, is available for streaming on Netflix.
