Dasvi seems to have passed with flying colours among audiences as the film continues to rake in the views on Netflix even 10 days after its release. The film, which had a direct-to OTT release, has found itself among the top 10 Indian films on Netflix even 10 days after the release. To mark the occasion, star Abhishek Bachchan took to his official social media handles to thank the people who made it happen.
The star shared a photograph of his character from the film, Ganga Ram Chaudhary. The picture featured the words ‘Das din se Dasvi on top’, which roughly translates to ‘for ten days, Dasvi has been on top’. The photo also mentions that the film has been trending on the number one spot among Indian films on Netflix’s platform. Bachchan captioned the post “Thank you for the love. 🙏🏽”

Dasvi revolves around the story of a vain Chief Minister (Bachchan) who is imprisoned when he is charged in a scam case. Handing over the reins to his seat to his wife, the politician decides to use his time in jail to earn his high school diploma.
In addition to Bachchan, the film also features Nimrat Kaur, Yami Gautam, Shivam Roy Prabhakar, Manu Rishi Chadha, Arun Kushwaha, Shivankit Singh Parihar, and Sumit Shekhar Rai. Tushar Jalota has directed the film, bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan.
Part of the review for the film on OTTplay reads, “The lack of originality even makes the performances by the lead actors suffer. However, their efforts, and also those of Tushar Jalota, are quite visible, but only work as a catalyst due to the half-baked screenplay.”
Dasvi, which was released on April 7, is available to stream on Netflix and Jio Cinema.
