Keerthy Suresh, basking in the success of Mahesh Babu starrer Sarkaru Vaari Paata earlier this year, is teaming up with Nani next for the action entertainer Dasara. This is her second film with the Shyam Singha Roy star after Nenu Local, which was a huge success at the box office. Commemorating Keerthy’s birthday, her first look from Dasara was launched today.
Introducing her character from the film, Nani, on social media, wrote, “Vennala is not just a name. It’s an emotion. Happy birthday to our chitthu chitthula bomma.” In the poster, Keerthy is dressed as a newly-wed bride, donning a yellow sari, having the time of her life and dancing like there’s no tomorrow. The percussionists in the backdrop complement her moves to perfection.
The fans of the actress were justifiably impatient as the first look was unveiled half an hour post the announced time today, but the impressive glimpse calmed them considerably later. The action entertainer is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under Sree Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas, who’d also backed films like Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu, Virata Parvam and Ramarao on Duty this year.
Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar too play key roles in the film that’s set to release in March 2023. The first single from Dasara, Dhoom Dhaam Dosthaan, released to encouraging responses. Santhosh Narayanan returns to Telugu cinema with the actioner after films like Guru, Maine Pyar Kiya in the past. Sathyan Sooryan ISC is the cinematographer for the project and Navin Nooli is the editor.
Avinash Kolla is the production designer and Vijay Chaganti is the executive producer respectively. Dasara will simultaneously release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages. Nani’s only release this year was Ante Sundaraniki, a dramedy written and directed by Vivek Athreya, which is currently streaming on Netflix.
