Dasara box office: Nani starrer exceeds expectations, collects record numbers in 3 days

Telegu star Nani is all set to score the biggest hit of his career with Dasara . In its opening weekend alone, the movie has managed to recover 75 percent of its cost, putting a smile on everyone's face at the business of box office. As of the latest reports, Dasara has collected a total of Rs 63 crore since its release on Thursday. 

The movie has received positive reviews from both critics and audiences, which has contributed to its success at the box office. The film's storyline, direction, and performances by the cast have been appreciated by many. Nani, who plays the lead role in the movie, has delivered yet another outstanding performance, which has undoubtedly contributed to its commercial success.

As we reported earlier, Dasara is likely to emerge as the first biggest Telugu hit of this summer. The Nani-starrer will also benefit from the lack of any serious competition at the box office in the Telugu states. 

According to AndhraBoxoffice.com, in three days the movie raked in nearly Rs 40 crore in theatrical collections in the Telugu states alone. And it has also done impressive business in other parts of the country and in the US, which is one of the key overseas markets for Telugu movies. The 3-day worldwide grossed collection of Dasara is pegged at Rs 63 crore. 

Dasara's good performance at the box office could also be credited to its marketing and promotions, which were strategically planned and executed. Nani lead the countrywide promotions and utilized various mediums such as social media, television, and outdoor advertisements to reach a wider audience. Given that it was Nani's first pan-India release, he left no stone unturned. 

The film's success is a welcome relief for the Telugu film industry, which has seen a slump in box office collections for the last two months. Following the Sankranti releases in January, a gloom had set in at the box office owing to several reasons. The success of Dasara at the box office has given a boost to the industry and is expected to pave the way for other films to release in the coming months.
