Darshan’s ‘Be alone to be happy’ post directed at reconciliation rumours with Kiccha Sudeep?

In the last few days, media reports have been on overdrive about a possible reconciliation between Kannada stars Darshan and Kiccha Sudeep, after both of them were spotted at an event at the same time. Although Darshan and Sudeep have attended events that required both of them in attendance in the past, they have always timed it perfectly to avoid each other. At actress-politico Sumalatha Ambareesh’s birthday, though, there was no doing that. Both Darshan and Sudeep arrived more or less at the same time and were even seen on the same stage together, as they wished Sumalatha. While the two actors did not greet each other or share pleasantries, the fact that they shared a stage after several years gave netizens hope that they could bury the hatchet after all.

The Darshan-Sudeep ‘meeting’ happened shortly after the Challenging Star issued a note apologizing to the media about a viral audio clip from a couple of years ago. In a leaked audio segment, Darshan could be heard using the choicest expletives in talking about the media, which resulted in mainstream publications banning him and his film, which impacted the promotions of his movie, Kranti. The actor had chosen to publicize the film with the help of social media influencers only, which did not translate into footfalls in theatres.

Considering that Darshan seemed to be in a forget and forgive mood, it was thought that this could spill over into his right with Sudeep also. The latter had, after all, come to Darshan’s support when footwear was hurled at him at a Kranti promotional event. However, the Challenging Star’s most recent social media post seems to put a stop to all the wishful thinking that was happening on media channels and social media about a possible reunion of the two stars. With a picture of him he wrote, “Be alone to be happy, be happy to be alone, with my celebrities”. Is it that Darshan prefers the company of his fans, who he calls his celebrities ? What gives?
