Alia Bhatt’s Darlings had successfully caught the attention of fans from the moment the makers announced the project. The movie’s teaser also piqued the intrigue of fans after it was released a few weeks back. The makers have now released a new poster for the movie and revealed when the trailer will be out.

Alia Bhatt shared the poster with her fans on social media earlier today. In an Instagram post, she wrote, “Iss lighter mein bas pyaar hai darlings. Kal trailer mein dekh lena. #Darlings #DarlingsOnNetflix,” confirming that the movie’s trailer will be released tomorrow.

The poster is an interesting one, as it has both Alia and Shefali Shah side by side, with the former holding a lighter and the latter an injection. In the background, we see Vijay Varma tied up and oblivious about what is going on around him. The poster resonates with the style of the movie which we got a peek into with the teaser. The movie is a black comedy that will revolve around its central characters and have elements of a thriller mystery.

Apart from Alia, Shah and Varma, the movie also stars Malayali actor Roshan Mathew in a pivotal role. Rajesh Sharma and Vijay Maurya are also among the cast of Darlings.

Co-written by Jasmeet K Reen and Parveez Sheikh, the movie also marks Reen’s first full-length feature film. The black comedy also sees Alia turn producer, having co-produced the movie under the banner of Eternal Sunshine Productions and Shah Rukh Khan's home banner, Red Chillies Entertainment.

Marking Alia’s third movie of the calendar year after Gangubai Kathiawadi and RRR, Darlings is set to start streaming on Netflix on August 5.
