March 17 will be a special day etched in the memories of many Puneeth Rajkumar fans all over Karnataka. While it's sad today is the first birthday when the star will no longer be around to celebrate with his fans, the fact that Puneeth's last full-fledged commercial outing James is releasing would be a good source of joy for them. Among millions of Appu's fans, there is also actor Darling Krishna, who can't wait to catch Puneeth Rajkumar on the big screen for James. He had shared a special post on Instagram on his bond with Puneeth and how he hasn't missed a single 'first day first show movie' of Appu on the big screen.

Flashing multiple 6 am tickets at Navarang theatre, Bengaluru on March 17 with pride, he had posted in his Instagram account earlier today, "6am Show... Excited as always.. never missed to watch first day first show movie of Appu sir.. waiting to see my Powerstar on Bigscreen... Bolo Bolo James..( I had watched Appu movie in Navarang theatre in 2002. Back then I had entered the theatre just to watch the movie and came out as his big fan)."

Darling Krishna's association with Puneeth began right with Jackie, for which he was an assistant director and made a brief appearance in it as well. The actor later considered it a privilege to share screen space with Appu for his other films Hudugaru and Doddamne Hudga as well. In what would be a good news for Puneeth's fans, Darling Krishna's next film Lucky Man, a remake of the Tamil film Oh My Kadavule, will have the Power Star making a special appearance. He had reprised the role that Vijay Sethupathi had played in the original. Lucky Man is directed by Nagendra Prasad, brother of actor, director, dancer Prabhudeva.

A grand end to Puneeth's career will probably come in the form of Gandhada Gudi, a wildlife documentary by J Amoghavarsha, the brain behind Wild Karnataka.
