Daredevil: Born Again season 3 is not yet greenlit, Charlie Cox talks about Avengers crossover - Everything that made new about the MCU show

Marvel Television for the fans of the franchise is cooking a storm that is so powerful as they are all set to introduce some brand new streak of shows on their streaming wing in partnership with Disney+. Over the past one year or so, the anticipation around Charlie Cox suiting up as the Man Without Fear in a standalone show has only multiplied, and it is all now leading to the day the show finally hits the streaming platform. Yes, we’re talking about Daredevil: Born Again, a show that will take ahead the story from Netflix’s Daredevil Season 3 and blend it all into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There has been so much talk about the much-anticipated show around. There was one rumour that said that a third season is already on track. Turns out it is not yet greenlit.

Daredevil: Born Again 3 Update

In case you are uninitiated, Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, when announced, it was said that it will have 18 episodes in total, which was a never-witnessed idea in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it was then revealed that the makers are now dividing those 18 episodes into two seasons, each consisting of 9 episodes. It was also confirmed that the second season will go on floors before the first season starts streaming on Disney+. However, a new report soon said that Marvel bosses have already started working on a third season.

Now Daniel Richtman, the viral scooper, has confirmed that the makers are yet to greenlight the Daredevil: Born Again Season 3. It all depends on the reception of the first two seasons. The scooper also promised some very big cameos in the second season. While he did not confirm what these cameos will be, there is hope it will be the big players in the future of the MCU that connect Matt Murdock to the big game.

Charlie Cox On Daredevil: Born Again Future

“I feel rejuvenated and lucky and blessed that I’m still being given the opportunity to play this character,” Charlie Cox said about the show as per ComicBook. “You so rarely get to do such a varied palette of tasks as an actor. I get all of this cool stuff as a lawyer, I get emotional scenes with various love interests, and then I get to wear an awesome superhero costume and jump off rooftops. I love all of it.”

“Normally, when you go into your tenth year playing a character, you’re winding down, but we’re going the other way,” the actor joked. “It would be interesting to know what gives up first, Marvel’s faith in us or our bodies!” However, when asked about potential crossover with the Avengers, Cox only said, "That would be awesome." We know how he won't talk about it even if it is happening. However, everything right now points at him joining the Avengers.

About Daredevil: Born Again

In Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again, we will witness Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer played by Charlie Cox with super abilities, who is also a part-time vigilante fighting for justice through his bustling law firm. However, he has given his vigilante alter ego a break and is now focusing on his Matt life. While Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, is now the mayor of New York and wants to end vigilantes. But the two men cannot leave their pasts behind, and all of it comes back to bite them, and an inevitable collision is fixed, and the sparks will be witnessed by all of us.

The series also stars Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, with Ayelet Zurer and Jon Bernthal. Dario Scardapane serves as the showrunner of Daredevil: Born Again. It is set to premiere on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar in India from March 4, 2025.
