There is immense anticipation for Daredevil: Born Again, set to premiere on Disney+ in March next year. As Charlie Cox reprises his role as the Man Without Fear, transitioning the Netflix hit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), fans are eager to see how it impacts the franchise. This marks the first time Marvel is making something produced outside its umbrella canon, apart from the Sony Spider-Man Universe, which adds to the stakes. With novel release formats and numerous speculations, excitement is high. However, even before the studio delves deeper into season one, reports suggest they are already preparing for the show's third season.
You read that right. Reports over the past year have highlighted Marvel's focus on Avengers: Doomsday, Secret Wars, and everything leading up to them. Now, updates suggest Marvel is planning beyond Secret Wars, with a third season of Daredevil: Born Again already under discussion.
According to The Cosmic Circus, "Ideas are being discussed at Marvel for Daredevil post-Secret Wars, not only for a third season but also his future inclusion in films." While specific movie titles remain unknown, one upcoming blockbuster has reportedly been ruled out.

There’s a disappointing update for Charlie Cox fans. Reports speculate that Daredevil may not appear in Avengers: Doomsday. The studio wants to avoid disrupting his storyline at the end of Born Again season one by pulling him into the Multiverse conflict only to return him to his original narrative. "Given the way the first season ends, it’s going to be weird to cut him from what he’s doing so he can fight in a Multiversal war, then put him back where he was,” the report explains.
Charlie Cox recently spoke about maintaining the tone of Netflix’s Daredevil in Born Again. He emphasized the importance of retaining the dark, mature tone that appealed to its audience. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Cox said, “Vincent [D’Onofrio] and I both felt that if you lose that, you risk losing the show’s identity. We pushed for the show to remain geared toward an older audience and not dumbed down to capture a wider net of people.” He added, “In some ways, it’s even darker than what we’ve done before.”
Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again premieres on March 4, 2025. Stay tuned to OTTplay for updates on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
