Bhumi Pednekar is all set for her full-fledged web series debut with Daldal, in which the actor will be donning the role of a cop. The first look from the series has been unveiled, in which she is donning an intense look and gives off the vibe of a police officer who cannot be stopped in any way.
The makers dropped her character's look from Daldal's reeling excitement among her fans, who have been seeing the actor portray different characters on screen lately. Check it out below:
Rita Ferreira (Bhumi), the recently appointed DCP of Mumbai in Daldal, must confront the horrors of her present as she investigates a string of killings, putting her in direct contact with a ruthless serial killer, all while attempting to keep her own life intact.
The production company for the forthcoming series is Abundantia Entertainment, while the executive producers are Vikram Malhotra and Suresh Triveni. The director of Daldal is Amrit Raj Gupta, and it is based on the novel Bhendi Bazaar by Vish Dhamija.
In the book based on 1982, three young girls were sold in Bombay's red-light area instead of on a trip from the Soviet Union to the West. About twenty-five years after that, the killings begin. Each of the casualties is a man. They are all waiting for trysts with wealthy escorts, playing tricks. The media and DCP Rita Ferreira both know right away that it's the work of a serial murderer. Mumbai residents are reeling from the breaking news that the city's first serial killer in recent memory is free to roam the streets. The serial murderer gives Rita 24 hours to put an end to the next killing, as she struggles to piece together the killer's pattern. It remains to be seen if Rita can successfully put an end to the next killing before falling victim to someone else.
Sreekanth Agneeaswaran, Rohan D'Souza, and Priya Saggi craft the story, while Sreekanth Agneeaswaran and Rohan D'Souza write the screenplay, with Hussain Haidry credited with the dialogues.
