Only a few days ago, the makers of the upcoming Telugu film Dacoit headlined by actor Adivi Sesh announced that Mrunal Thakur will be playing the female lead. The Sita Ramam actor is replacing Shruti Haasan who was announced to play the lead when the film was launched earlier. While many believe that Shruti Haasan left the project because she could not fit it into her schedule, a new reason has emerged citing involvement of co-star.
Adivi Sesh is currently working on the upcoming Telugu film titled Dacoit. The makers had recently announced that Mrunal Thakur will be playing the female lead and is the replacement to Shruti Haasan who was first announced to be play the character.
While the makers did not cite any reasons for the replacement officially, as per India Today, Shruti Haasan had walked out of the project due to "over involvement of her co-star" apart from scheduling conflicts. As per the sources of the report, it said that even as Shruti Haasan had filmed for the teaser last year, the shoot dates were changed. The source further said without taking names, that there was much involvement from the other actor's side in the script, and it got to an uncomfortable point that she had to walk out of the project.
