Daaku Maharaaj was recently in a controversy after the latest poster of the film skipped the presence of actor Urvashi Rautela, while announcing its premiere by Netflix. Urvashi had been one of the strongest promoters of the film, even as she drew several criticism for the way she talked about the expensive gifts she received for the film’s success when asked about Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident.

Even as Daaku Maharaaj did not become a phenomenal success, the film was able to enter the profit zone. The digital rights were sold for Rs 40 crore and the film earned Rs 87 crore through theatrical run.
