Daaku Maharaaj locks OTT platform: Where to watch the Balakrishna, Bobby Deol film

Daaku Maharaaj is Balakrishna's latest film, directed by Bobby Kolli. The action drama was released on January 12, 2025, and has made close to Rs 40 crore at the box office. While the OTT platform was not revealed on release day, we at OTTplay have learned that Netflix has secured the digital rights to the film.

A source close to the production team revealed that Netflix paid a significant sum for the deal. Producer Naga Vamsi played the waiting game, negotiating with several prominent OTT platforms before finalizing the deal with Netflix. This OTT agreement has helped recover a significant portion of the film’s budget. As per the latest update, Daaku Maharaaj will premiere on Netflix in the second week of February 2025.

Balakrishna delivers a powerful performance in a role that has been widely praised, portraying a man who protects a village from a deadly villain played by Bobby Deol. Bobby Deol’s character and portrayal have also received appreciation. Director Bobby Kolli, riding high on success, has delivered back-to-back hits, with his previous film, Waltair Veerayya starring Chiranjeevi, also a massive success.
