Daaku Maharaaj box office collection day 8: Balakrishna's film crosses the Rs 80 crore mark, big Monday test ahead

Daaku Maharaaj is Balakrishna's new film that hit the screens on January 12, 2025 and opened to positive talk. Bobby Kolli directed this film, which has completed eight days of its run and crossed the ₹80 crore net mark. All the parties involved are in the safe zone, and whatever the film earns from today will be pure profit.

While the film's occupancy has slightly decreased, the collections remain steady. After earning ₹4.2 crore on day 7, Daaku Maharaaj made ₹4 crore on day 8. With the Sankranthi season now over and everyone back to work, the film will face a major test at the box office. Collections are expected to drop, and if the film passes the Monday test, it will ensure solid profits for the makers in the days ahead.

Netflix has acquired the digital rights to the film for a hefty price and is set to stream it in the second week of February 2025, as per the latest update. Daaku Maharaaj marks Balakrishna's fourth consecutive hit, with the film also grossing over $2 million in the U.S.

Balakrishna has had an incredible year, being elected as an MLA for the third consecutive time and witnessing the massive success of his OTT show Unstoppable with NBK. Adding to his achievements, his last four films have all been massive hits at the box office—setting a record unmatched by any other star hero in recent years.

Bobby Deol made a striking debut in Telugu cinema as the main villain in this film. Urvashi Rautela, Shraddha Srinath, and Chandini Chowdary played key roles in the movie, which was produced by Trivikram Srinivas and Naga Vamsi on a massive budget.
