It looks like Dhanush's next, which is tentatively being referred to as D50, has got yet another addition to the star cast. The latest we hear is that former child artiste Anikha Surendran is on board and that she will play a pivotal role in the film. It is to be noted that Anikha played Ajith's daughter in both Yennai Arindhaal and Viswasam. She recently made her debut as a lead actress in the Malayalam film, Oh My Darling, which predominantly opened to negative reviews.
The shoot for D50, we hear, has already begun and that it's a gangster story set in North Madras. The film marks Dhanush's second project as a director after Pa Paandi. D50 is bankrolled by Sun Pictures, and the announcement poster showed smoke billowing out of a crowded settlement. This is his second collaboration with the production house, after the blockbuster Thiruchitrambalam.
It was only recently that Sundeep Kishan had revealed that he will be sharing screen space with Dhanush in D50 yet again after Arun Matheswaran's Captain Miller. He added that he had already shot for ten days for the film.
In the meantime, the teaser of Captain Miller has already set the internet on fire and has become the most-watched teaser in a span of 24 hours in Tamil cinema. The teaser shows Dhanush as a rebel leader who is giving the British, a run for their money and as the last man standing in the battlefield, which is filled with bodies of dead British soldiers.
Captain Miller has an ensemble star cast, which includes Dhanush, Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, John Kokken, Elango Kumaravel, Priyanka Mohan, Edward Sonennblick, Vinoth Kishan, Viji Chandrasekar and Niveditha Satish. The film has music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni and editing by Nagooran. Captain Miller is bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Productions.
