Actor Rajinikanth is one of the topmost actors in India and there is no doubt each of his films already garnered a lot of attention. The actor is set to team up with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, for a film titled Coolie. Now, the makers shared an exciting update about the film. Read on to know what it is.
Coolie gets an exciting addition
Coolie is one of the most anticipated films in Tamil cinema. With the makers recently announcing the project, Lokesh Kanagaraj who is helming the film, dropped a surprise information, well addition, to Coolie.
Girish Gangadharan, the cinematographer who shot films like Jallikkattu, Sarkar, and Angamaly Diaries, will be shooting Coolie as well. The film will mark the technician's second collaboration with Lokesh after the Kamal Haasan-starrer Vikram. Lokesh posted a photograph of himself along with Girish in what may seem like a dock. The filmmaker also said that the cast updates of Coolie will follow soon. Coolie goes on floors from July.

Backed by Sun Pictures banner, Coolie has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The makers are yet to announce the cast and other crew details of the film. However, it is speculated that actors Sathyaraj and Shobana have been roped in to play pivotal roles in Coolie.
A release date for Coolie is yet to be announced. It is expected that the film will hit theatres in 2025. It is also highly unlikely Coolie will be part of the LCU, which includes Vikram, Kaithi and Leo. If the reports are to be believed, the Rajinikanth is set to play a unique character with negative shades in Coolie.

Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan
Rajinikanth will be next seen in Vettaiyan, which is expected to release in October. Helmed by TJ Gnanavel, the film stars actors Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Dushara Vijayan, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, and Ritika Singh, among others. It is expected to be a cop-action drama.
