The makers of the upcoming Malayalam movie Perumani confirmed that it will have a theatrical release soon. According to sources, the film will open in theatres in May. In this Maju-directed movie, Sunny Wayne, Vinay Forrt, and Lukman Avaran play the main roles.
The movie is anticipated to open in theatres alongside Tovino Thomas' Nadikar, Nivin Pauly's Malayalee From India, and Prithviraj Sukumaran's Guruvayur Ambhalanadayil, though the precise date has not yet been disclosed.
The filmmaker, who also wrote the screenplay for Perumani, directed the highly acclaimed Appan (2022), which starred Sunny Wayne and Alencier in the lead roles. Appan is streaming on SonyLiv.
A sneak peek at the film's cast was revealed on the recently released poster. When Vinay Forrt donned the same appearance with the peculiar moustache for the promotions of his previous movie, Ramachandra Boss & Co., it went viral on social media. In an interview with OTTplay, the actor discussed his appearance in the movie and stated that he loves to be a director's actor, so he has never been scared to choose something different for a role.
In significant roles in the movie are Deepa Thomas, Navas Vallikkunnu, Vijilesh Karayad, Radhika Radhakrishnan, Franco Francis, and Amal Rajdev. The technical team for Perumani comprises composer Gopi Sunder, editor Joel Kavi, and State Award-winning cinematographer Manesh Madhavan. The movie is bankrolled by Firoz Thairinil under the auspices of Une Vie Movies in collaboration with the director's production house, Maju Movies.
Lukman Avaran was last seen in a pivotal role in Anchakkallakokkan. He will also star with Naslen in a film directed by Khalid Rahman. Kundannoorile Kulsitha Lahala, directed by Akshay Ashok, is yet another title on his upcoming lineup. In Turkish Tharkkam, he and Sunny Wayne will be spotted together. Following its theatrical debut earlier this year, Vinay Forrt's Aattam and Family were met with overwhelming praise from the public.
