Confirmed: Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar part of Dhanush's Captain Miller, first look out

After much speculation about whether Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar was part of Dhanush's upcoming film, Captain Miller, or not, it's finally made official! The film's production house today confirmed the presence of Shiva Rajkumar, by releasing his look from the film. In a sepia-toned picture, Shiva Rajkumar is seen intensely looking at something. The production house captioned the picture, "We are honoured in Welcoming the Legendary superstar,Karunada Chakravarthy @NimmaShivanna to the world of #CaptainMiller #ShivaRajkumarInCaptainMiller @dhanushkraja @ArunMatheswaran @sundeepkishan @priyankaamohan @gvprakash @johnkokken1 @nivedhithaa_Sat (sic)."

The buzz is that the Kannada star is playing Dhanush's elder brother in the film. The film, helmed by Arun Matheswaran is set in the 1940s and will unfold over a decade and Dhanush will be seen in multiple looks. The star cast includes Priyanka Mohan, marking her maiden collaboration with Dhanush, Sundeep Kishan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, John Kokken, Elango Kumaravel and Moor. The shoot for the film is in full swing and Captain Miller will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

While the music for the film is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography is by Shreyas Krishna and editing is by Nagooran. The film is bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films. The film's director Arun Matheswaran had earlier helmed the critically acclaimed films Rocky and Saani Kayidham. The film is likely to hit screens in the summer of 2023.

Captain Miller will mark Shiva Rajkumar's second outing in Tamil after his debut in Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer, which is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The team had recently revealed Shiva Rajkumar's look from the film in which he is seen in a stylish avatar. The team of Jailer is currently on a break between schedules and the film's director had recently shared that he was in Qatar watching the FIFA World Cup. Jailer, too, is likely to hit screens for mid-2023.
