Netflix unveiled its Tamil line-up for 2024, coinciding with the Pongal celebrations. Under the hashtag campaign #NetflixPandigai, which translates to Netflix Festival, it announced its licensed Tamil-language content slate for this year.
Earlier this week, the streaming platform unveiled its Telugu-language lineup, brimming with titles featuring the biggest stars of the industry. The story of Vidaa Muyarchi
The release date of Vidaa Muyarchi has not been revealed yet. However, the film is expected to hit the screens during this summer. As per the existing practice, the new Tamil movies will arrive on streaming after finishing an obligatory four-week theatrical run.
Earlier, Lyca Productions had announced that director Vignesh Shivan will be helming the project with Ajith in the lead. However, the project was shelved when the producers didn't like Vignesh's final script. It came as a big shocker for every fan, considering the initial excitement that was generated by the announcement of a collaboration between Ajith and Vignesh. Soon, the producers were on the market looking for a director who had the right script that fit Ajith's star image and was ready to take it into production. Enter Magizh Thirumeni.
The production of Vidaa Muyarchi went on the floors last year in August. And most of the shootings so far happened in Azerbaijan. At this moment, we have very little information about the film's storyline. However, it's being dubbed as an action thriller.
Besides Ajith, Vidaa Muyarchi stars Arjun Sarja, Trisha, Regina Cassandra and Arav.
