When OTTplay had the chance to speak exclusively with the filmmaker, he opened up on his opinions on whether the quantity of content available on OTT platforms is affecting the quality.

The iconic Commando film franchise will be brought to the OTT platform with a web series of the same name by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the celebrated director behind the recent film, The Kerala Story. On August 11, 2023, the series will start streaming on Disney+Hotstar. It promises to be an exciting and action-packed ride that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
When OTTplay had the chance to speak exclusively with the filmmaker, he opened up on his opinions on whether the quantity of content available on OTT platforms is affecting the quality of content. He said: "There are some good phases and some bad phases. Hume sabko apne apne introspection me lage rehna chahiye. Jab aapki film chalti hai tab introspection karna chahiye aur jab nahi chalti tab to aur jyada karna chahiye. Aur aise daur aate hai jab content ki quality thodi si gadbadaati hai kyuki everybody is trying to do more than one, more projects, toh quality kabhi kabhi girti hai, it doesn’t mean ki humare filmmakers mein quality ki kami hai ya actors me ya writers me quality ki kami hai. Main aisa bilkul nahi maantaa, main aisa maanta hoon ki inspite of increase in the quantity, agar Mai percentage wise dekhi toh humari quality abhi bhi bahot achi hai."
"Agar hum is saal bhi dekhein, maine to The Kerala Story ke promotion ke waqt bhi kaha tha ki agar aap second half dekhenge to bahot saari success aayegi to mai abhi me mere us stand pe kaayam hoon. Even on OTT, itna jyada content churn out karne ke baawajood agar hum bilkul hi kharab content nahi de rahe hai toh we are in a good space. And in the coming year you will see better and better content. Because everybody has now understood one thing ki agar aapka content accha hoga toh koi bhi star aapko bacha nahi sakta. Audience ne bahot clearly bata diya hai ki content is the King," he added.
