'Colourist, racist?' Netizens divided over IVE's Jang Wonyoung reaction to a child touching her

IVE, the K-pop group, is currently in Madrid, Spain, for the KPOP LUX x SUPER SBS CONCERT music festival, where they will perform alongside other renowned artists. Ahead of the festival, some lucky fans had the opportunity to meet the group as they explored various attractions in the country.

A particular moment captured during their outing has sparked widespread attention. In the viral clip, a child can be seen approaching Wonyoung, waving and seemingly touching her hair. Wonyoung appears surprised by the interaction, but security quickly intervenes and moves the child away.

The video has garnered over four million views on Twitter, leading to various discussions among fans. Some are even calling her colourist and racist.

However, many have come to Wonyoung's defence.

Recently, she was spotted on Harper's Bazaar Korea's Instagram account, where they released some of the images from her pictorial. 

The IVE members will be featured in the August issue of the magazine, endorsing Miu Miu's 2023 Fall-Winter Collection.
