The makers of Parineeti Chopra and Harrdy Sandhu starrer upcoming film Code Name: Tiranga are all set to unveil its trailer on Wednesday afternoon. OTTplay got the chance to watch it at a preview before its release and going by the same, it’ll be safe to say that the film shows beautiful chemistry between the lead pair. Since the Punjabi singer-turned-actor is known for his popular songs like Kya Baat Ay, Bijlee Bijlee and more, it is only natural that his fans would also expect to hear him singing in the film too.
At the trailer preview event, Harrdy Sandhu was quizzed if he’d also croon a song in Code Name: Tiranga, especially since it’s a patriotic film where music adds a certain recall value to the narrative. Taking the question forward, while Harrdy's co-star Parineeti tagged him as an 'in-house music expert' and asked if he is singing anything for the film, Harrdy shared, "Well I sang one song in the film and was acting for the rest of it. So yes, one song (will be there) from my end."
Adding to that, director Ribhu said, "I think when it comes to evoking the emotion, the story and script play more important part and music comes along with it. We have a beautiful rendition of the lines of Vande Mataram in the film. That's a patriotic song. For the rest, one really has to watch the film in the theatre."
Cinegoers have already watched Harrdy in 83 - one of the most talked about films of 2021 in which the actor essayed the character of Madan Lal.
When asked about why he is not seen in Hindi films more often, Harrdy said, "I actually did not take much longer to sign my next project after my first Bollywood film 83. It is just that the pandemic happened and we were shooting in 2021 for this film. I signed this one, just after signing 83. The process took longer."
The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Reliance Entertainment and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. It also stars Sharad Kelkar, Rajit Kapur, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Shishir Sharma, and Sabyasachi Chakraborty among others.
Code Name: Tiranga is slated to hit the theatres on October 14.
