Cocktail, which transformed Deepika Padukone from an actor to a star, is considered a pivotal moment in her career. 13 years after the release of Cocktail, producer Dinesh Vijan is preparing to release Cocktail 2, but with a different ensemble of actors. The forthcoming film would reportedly be a love triangle starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, according to sources familiar with the project.
Cocktail 2 plans and new cast lineup

Cocktail 2 production timeline
In May of 2025, Cocktail 2 will begin shooting under the direction of Homi Adajania. Additionally, casting for the film is currently underway, with the expectation of a large ensemble alongside the two leads. Shahid is moving on to Cocktail 2 after wrapping up Arjun Ustara/Evil, under the direction of Vishal Bhardwaj. Meanwhile, Kriti will conclude filming Tere Ishk Mein, under the direction of Aanand L Rai, before embarking on Cocktail 2.
